What was the funniest / most bizarre request you’ve ever had while playing?
Besides the regular reggaeton requests, I think the craziest thing was that two old ladies entered the dance floor screaming at me to sing them a happy birthday. That was a very funny and random moment.
Can you describe your studio setup for us?
Right now, I make music with my Macbook Air, M-audio BX8 monitors, the Focusrite 6i6 sound card, and a midi Komplete controller. I focus more on my VST's as the machines for me are tough to acquire.
Could you tell us the story about your first gig?
I remember my first concert in a club in my city called "Palo Santo" about 3 years ago. At that time the music was not so well known so there were not many people in the club. For me, it was better because I felt a lot of fear and shame hahaha. It was that day when I felt I was doing the right thing and after that day, I did not stop making music.
Name three artists that currently inspire you.
St Germain, DJOKO, and Mbius. I definitely love the music of these 3 artists.
Recall the worst experience of ‘killing the vibe’ in the club.
I remember it very well hahaha. I was playing in a club in my city and in the middle of the night, I think it was 3 or 4 in the morning, the light went out in the whole club for about 10 minutes. It was very strange once it came back, it felt as if the vibe had died.
What do you do before and after your set?
before I play I like to spend time with my friends to relax and laugh, it's good for me before I go on stage. After the party, I always go eat, and if I have some strength left I continue to share it with my friends at an after-party.
What’s the worst job you’ve ever had?
after leaving school I dedicated myself to music so I have not had an experience having a job.
What are your favourite labels at the moment?
The labels I have heard lately are..: Plastik People, Airtime Records, Lacuna Recordings. I also like a lot the work that the guys from Pitch Records do. I recently released my song "Ocean" there as a part of the Various Artists compilation.
Imagine a cold winter, a fireplace and two glasses of wine—what song would you play?
I would definitely place the song "St Germain - Street Scene".
Last but not least. What's the best advice you've ever received?
"Following my soul and what my soul feels." That advice has helped me a lot throughout my life.
