WhoSampled is organising their third Samplethon competition that will be held at Point Blank Studios in London on 15th October. The contest, which is being curated in partnership with Sony's KPM production music library and Ableton, will be offering 20 producers a unique experience. Contestants will be mentored and judged by experts such as Shawn Lee (Ubiquity), Chris Read (BBE / WhoSampled), Ollie Teeba (Ninja Tune) and Point Blank’s Ski Oakenfull.
Third annual Samplethon
Samplethon is a perfect competition for all beat makers that can't resist the art of sampling. Prior to the competition day, a special jury will select 20 candidates that will present their best production and sampling skills. If you want to be among top 20, all you need to do is to send your best track to firstname.lastname@example.org before 6th October. The finalists will be given the opportunity to work with samples from classic KPM records to create a track within a day. The stack of grand prizes includes KPM vinyl release alongside established artists, a course from Point Blank and some extras from Ableton. Samplethon offers a great chance to get your music heard by right people in this industry and to get new exposure as a winning release on a big respectful label.
