5FAVs with Harry Romero

Long-standing American house music producer Harry Romero is a well-established figure on the worldwide music circuit. A prominent global DJ and producer since the 90s, early productions on Cutting Records and Cutting Traxx helped set the tone for Harry’s career trajectory, opening the doors to a coveted BBC Radio 1 ‘Essential Mix’ in recent times.

New Jersey house legend makes a welcome return to Crosstown Rebels this March with It Hurts. Teaming up with long-term vocalist partner Jessica Eve, the EP includes a remix from award-winning producer Rodriguez Jr., who makes his first appearance on the label since 2017. ROBB SWINGA 'BEAUTIFUL JAZZ' (BAMBOSSA)

"This track really exemplifies everything I love about dubby House Music. It has Jazz elements and real thick, Jacking beats. His arrangement is done perfectly and I'm sure when dance floors open back up this will surely rock them. Keep up the good work Robb!"

JIMPSTER 'ECHOES IN MY HEAD' (FREERANGE)

"This track really has an amazing approach to deep and soulful house music. Great use of pads and effects to give this a real old-school feel while staying super modern. I'm a sucker for quality tracks like this."

RAMPA '2000' (COCOON)

"I like how he stepped out of the 4/4 world and brought it back to some proper Electro beats. We here in the New York/ New Jersey area grew up with music like this from Kraftwerk and Arther Baker etc so I have a real affinity for this sound. Everything here is understated and done to perfection. Amazing track."

SETH TROXLER & MARTINEZ BROS. 'PLAY IN THE DARK' TROXLER'S FREAK MIX (CROSSTOWN)

"Quirky, dark, and driving is the best way to describe Seth's mix. This one is all about the groove. This track is perfect for leveling out the dance floor while still keeping that intense energy.  Seth doesn't do many remixes but when he does you can be sure it's going to smash! Outstanding remix."

CINTHIE 'BOSS LADY IN A MEN'S WORLD' (803 CRYSTAL GROOVES)

"You hear the respect and admiration in all of Cinthie's productions for house music and this track is no exception. Just a proper killer groove with quality sound. This one is for proper house heads. I am a fan for sure and look forward to hearing more from her in the very near future."
