Ian F. is certainly not a musician who brags about his achievements. He is a modest but very skilled selector with a smooth eclectic flow who prefers to express himself through the colourful tones of his music. Music represents a true palette of feelings for him. And he'd been painting and colouring the dancefloors all over Europe professionally for more than a decade. Passionate and dedicated, he does this on various levels: as a producer, deejay and promoter.
"There is a lot of good music out there and it’s pretty hard for me to pick just 5 of my favourite tracks... Instead of making a top 5 that I would usually play in my DJ sets in clubs I preferred to think about the music that I listen to frequently at home or on my phone... The albums/songs that I picked are special to me in some way and are regularly present in my “home listening” playlists, some of them since I was a child."
Steve Reich - Music For 18 Musicians
"This is one of my favourite musical pieces ever... Every time I listen to it I get excited as I did for the first time. One of my biggest wishes is to hear it live in some great music hall somewhere.
The KLF - Chill Out
"If I would get 1 Euro for each time I’ve listened to this album I would be a millionaire right now. And I still love it!"
"Anything from Radiohead, I can’t suggest just one song or album. I’ve discovered them in 1994 when I was 13 years old and they are still inspiring me since then. Definitely my favourite band and something that I listen to at home very often. For this occasion, I picked a song from their 2016 album - “A Moon Shaped Pool”..."
The Other People Place - Lifestyles Of The Laptop Cafe
"This is one of my favourite “electronic music” albums ever. A genius work in my opinion. It is music that I play in my DJ sets in the club but it’s also in my “home listening/chill” playlists for many years already. I will never get enough of listening to it."
Maurice Ravel - Bolero
"Bolero is my favourite classical work since I was a child. My parents had the vinyl record and I remember that I was listening to it on repeat all the time. I have even recorded it from vinyl to a 90 minutes cassette so I could listen to it on repeat on my walkman. I got myself a copy of the record later on so I can continue to enjoy it now."
