Croatian talent Andrea Ljekaj is on our favourite list of artists for quite some time now. With releases on labels such as Get Physical and Save Us, Andrea is slowly but surely proving to be one of the best newcomers from the Ex-Yu region. His forthcoming release will be a three track EP that will soon land on New Violence Records.
Hills Have Ears EP
The first track of the EP is called "Hills Have Ears" and it's a techier influenced groover with a big epic breakdown. This track has a nice balance of darker sounds that are firmly fenced by warm pads and pumping bass-line. "Never Too Early" is the second track on the EP. As for most of Andrea's productions, this track is also a mixture of various genres. Driving drum groove is combined with deeper elements and nostalgic pad synths, while short vocal cuts are gliding through the track like the sun shines after the rain. Andrea finished the deal with a track called "Road Of Desires". We really like how his tracks aren't classical uplifting tech tunes with countless drops.
This last tune has a bit deeper vibe with yet again powerful synths and mild pads. The groove is smoothly working with sub-bass-line and vocal chops. This EP, which has already gained support from various big DJ's around the globe, will surely stand out from the oversaturated tech house scene. Andrea Ljekaj is irrepressibly taking over the electronic music scene with big steps and even bigger music.
