For each month, our team has decided to have a quick look-back on the work, that was done in the region. Because we’re coming to the end of May, it’s time to expose some of the 4/4 music by artists, who we follow and support. These are their releases for this month: Starting from Slovenia, YOUR GAY THOUGHTS released the ‘Exitic Moods EP’ for Prrrrrrr Records.

The ‘Wotuka’ song was sampled from Les Baxter’s brilliant album Tamboo (1953) and ‘La Femme’  from Alain Goraguer – La Planète Sauvage album (1973).

On the other side of 4/4 music, the groovy techno EP ‘Mission to Mars’, created by Slovenian Alex Nemec and UK’s Nik Feral for Compatible Music, sets the path for lucky club-goers.

If you ever want to have a super awesome time or a proper rave in Bosnia, you should either go to Sarajevo or Banja Luka. They hold the reputation of true party cities. Zlatnichi, who’s from Sarajevo made the ‘Big Dad’ EP for zinc Records. He sure has to be excited about this one, cuz he already caught the ear of Marco Carola, Detlef, Stefano Noferini, Wade, Dennis Cruz, Neverdogs, Joey Daniel, Manuel De Lorenzi, and Horatio.

But Zlatnichi’s not the only one who’s getting massive support. Here we have Mladen Tomić from Banja Luka with his ‘Piece Of Funk’ EP for KD Music. He’s supported by Joris Voorn, Mark Fanciulli, David Keno, Karotte, Monika Kruse, Pan-Pot, Philip Bader, Riva Starr, Stacey Pullen, Thomas Schumacher etc.

We finish the chart with the respected Serbian DJ and producer Igor Jadranin, who was able to collaborate with the UK house boss, Mr. Ashley Beedle. Igor takes no prisoners with the title track of his EP – the monumental ‘Boulevardd’.  This slice of dirty and distorted techno jazz leads you into a very dark place filled with relentless piano breaks punctuated by an unnerving single note string.
