English based producer, DJ, and label owner Seb Zito will soon be launching his own label - Seven Dials Records. The label will have its first release on 27th October with three originals and a pair of remixes from Chris Geschwinder and Satoshi Tomiie. Seb Zito has been one of the leading acts behind highly successful Fuse since their early beginnings. Besides countless releases for Fuse London, Seb has also worked with respectful labels such as Vatos Locos, Rawax and Memoria Recordings. One of his earliest releases on Fuse was entitled "Seven Dials" and six years later, the UK producer launches his own imprint sharing the same name.
"The label is a true representation of my musical past and present. Going back to my roots mixing House & Garage along with everything inspired from this era right up till the present. Bridging old and new as well as staying true to my UK sound." – Seb Zito
Seb Zito - 90's EP
"95-96" will go down as the first track on Seven Dials Records and it brings us a proper groove mixed with a wonky bassline and popping synths before introducing heady breakbeat drums and scintillating pads. Chris managed to maintain the original idea while bringing out the garage-influenced groove. His remix has a strong presence which is lead by shuffling rhythm and strong pads. "House Fevor" is the second original on the release. This one includes subtle atmospherics and a skipping beat which resulted in more laid-back feel. Finally, ‘Bubbling’ combines crunchy snares, distorted vocal samples and a compelling groove before Satoshi Tomiie delivers a robust and percussive remix to conclude the release.
90's EP will be released on 27th October via newborn Seven Dials Records. This EP is a solid introduction to the new label and we're eager to see what the future holds for the imprint.
