Marijan Rašković is an artist, who grew up in the suburbs of Belgrade, in the small town of Pančevo, to be more precise. His parents had a small, but precious music collection from artists like Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis, Enigma, Kraftwerk, ... and when they got him a classic Casio SA-20 synth, it was just a matter of time until he became a full-blown musician. Coming from a time of severe economic hardship in Serbia, Marijan struggled for a better life while learning the ‘ins and outs’ of music production on his home computer.
Over the years he has refined his approach and his Jelly For The Babies moniker pioneers what he calls the ‘candy flavored sound’. The project was created in 2007 and it’s mostly based on melodic sounds with loads of vocals mixed up in deep, progressive and tech house. Since then, he’s been frequently releasing on labels such as One Of A Kind, Balkan Connection, Heavenly Bodies Records, Silk Music and on his own imprint – The Purr. We’re extremely excited that he recorded an exclusive mix for our fourth edition of SolvdCast.
