Guys at SoundCloud are being extremely active lately, with a simple purpose of adding small changes that would make their service even better one. We've already written about SoundCloud's re-post function a few days ago (Read More) and now they've shared another interesting news with the rest of the world. DJs, producers and remixers will now allegedly be able to get paid through the latest expansion of their Premier program. This program, which was launched in 2014, can monetise users content and earn revenue generated on this listening platform. Subscriptions and advertising on SoundCloud directly support artists. According to their blog, beginning today, DJs and producers who create sets, remixes and other forms of creative works will now be invited to join SoundCloud's Premier program, and earn revenue for the tracks they share on SoundCloud." This means:
- More Creators in the SoundCloud Premier program - adding DJ's and producers to the program in addition to creators of original works.
- Creating more ways for artists to build their audience – while getting paid. In addition to the massive global community SoundCloud provides, DJs and producers invited to join SoundCloud Premier can now share their work with a wide audience while also generating revenue.
It's definitely an interesting approach from the SoundCloud team and we're left to see how this will develop furthermore.
