Rijeka will host Stefano Noferini

And like every year Carnival DJ Session will be held in cooperation with the local underground forces. This year, the main guest is neither more nor less the legend of the Italian underground sound - Stefano Noferini.

Known for his "golden touch" when it comes to breaking floor open, Stefano Noferini is a true veteran of the club sound. You can hear a lot of his funk/soul influences in his tech-house destroyers. His early releases from the 90's were wearing a harder and more experimental acid techno sound splicing it with progressive trance and flirting with drum N bass by using some of its elements. However, Stefano always belonged to the more alternative, underground currents. Over time he's gravitated toward a bit more main room tech house sound, with strong Hispanic elements, elaborate percussions and "organic" instruments, approaching the 70's rare groove roots from which he originates.

"The beauty of house, techno and tech-house sound are that there are no rules."

Although widely using sampling with the majority of his productions, his key tools are still the classic Roland machines: 303, 909 and 808. Today he's defined an extremely powerful and futuristic sound, but will always cite James Brown and Klaus Schulze as his main role models and influences.

Besides being issued for labels such as Toolroom, Spinnin or Recovery Tech, Stefano Noferini runs a successful label called Deeperfect. His tracks are being played by the some of the biggest industry names and club stars from many different backgrounds, such as Paul Van Dyk, Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox, David Guetta and Fatboy Slim.

"My fans love music more than anything. Nothing is as important as the music."

Alongside Noferini the colours of the biggest carnival in Croatia - The Carnival of Rijeka will be defended by Lemon, a member of the Pula's Balance.FM, Lovran, System Divine, Rijeka producer Mystic, as well as residents of the best small clubs in Croatia: Life4Funk and Mecena.

After the carnival parties in Ex port Delta, the soul of the party is moving to the official afterparty which will be held in Rijeka's Crkva. In "Church" ravers will lose themselves to the sounds of the most successful lady of the Croatian electronic sound - Marina Karamarko, then a member of the Work Floor collective Fryer, a member of the KBS Entertainment - iGoRRitza, as well as residents of the Church - Altar Servers.
