One of the biggest platforms for electronic music Resident Advisor are back at OHM to raise funds for Help Refugees. They've put together a lineup of some of their favorite selectors. Heading up the party will be two of Belgrade’s finest: Vladimir Ivković and Tijana T. They'll be joined by Courtesy, who's playing back-to-back with Gramrcy, as well as Eric Cloutier, Gwenan, and Gigsta. This fundraiser will take place on Thursday, January 25th at OHM in Berlin.
Ohm is a 250 capacity club located in the former battery room of a disused power plant. Formerly known as Shift. All funds raised—including booking fees will go towards Help Refugees, which provides emergency aid and vital services to those affected by the global refugee crisis, which currently impacts approximately 65.3 million people.
Ivan Smagghe tries his best to describe Vladimir Ivković after playing a 14-hour marathon B2B in Belgrade: "Vladimir is one of the best for only one reason because he's got the ability to care not to care. He's not a show-off, he will not play rare records for the sake of it, he just plays music he likes. Weird or not, hits or not, obscure or not, "dance music" or not, Coil or yes. Who cares? It's here to be passed on anyway. Vladimir gives a lot and rarely takes. He's immune to the digger's plague. Too generous. Too humble."
Both Vladimir and Tijana played their sets at Boiler Room Belgrade, which was held on 20/44 last September alongside capital's finest mainstays Kristijan Molnar, Schwabe and Stevie Whisper. See what you've missed below.
